Mrs. Lisa Latimer
Welcome to Kennedale Junior High School!
The 2021-21 school year will be my 1st year at Kennedale Junior High in Kennedale ISD. Although it is my 21st year in education, it will be my 13th year as a classroom teacher. I teach Investigating Careers and College & Career Readiness (CCR). CCR is being offered as high school credit. Prior to KISD, I worked in Arlington ISD for 20 years with 14 of those years at Turning Point Secondary School (TPSS). TPSS is AISD’s Disciplinary Alternative Education Program or DAEP.
I graduated with a Master's in Curriculum & Instruction-Instructional Design & Technology from Tarleton State University in December 2018. My undergraduate degree is in Business Administration-Management from The University of Texas at Arlington. Before UTA, I also attended Texas Tech University for most of my undergraduate coursework. I also grew up in Lubbock, so I'm a big Red Raider fan! I obtained an alternative teaching certification via the Education Service Center Region 11.
I have been married to my husband, Craig, for 40 years. We have three grown sons; two daughters-in-law; and three grandchildren (all of their names start with the letter 'J'!) In my spare time, I love to garden (both vegetables and flowers), sew/craft, and read (especially historical fiction).
I look forward to working with your students and being a part of the Kennedale ISD family.
Lisa L. Latimer, M.Ed.
