Welcome to Student Support at JAA! Our speciality is providing individualized, intensive instruction for students identified under IDEA, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, also known as Special Education. Here you will find information and links for the ARD process, disabilities, and other resources. Each teacher also has information specific to their grade/area.

Ms. Clark is the ELAR SpEd teacher. She provides Resource, which is pull-out, specially designed instruction in reading and writing. Additionally, she delivers in-class support for students included in general education classrooms.

Mr. Smith is the Math SpEd teacher. He provides Resource, which is pull-out, specially designed instruction in math. Additionally, he delivers in-class support for students included in general education classrooms.

Ms. Long teaches Essential Academics (EA) and is your point of contact for our students with lower incidence disabilities who recieve special education through the EA classroom.

is the Behavior Interventionist who serves JAA half time and KJHS half time. The R&R Reset & Refocus room is supported daily by a dedicated para-educator and the special education staff.

We have 5 para-educators on the team: Ms. Johnson, Ms. Rogers, Ms. Isch and Ms. Bitnec . All of our para-educators provide services in the general education classrooms.

Contacting your child's special education case manager or subject area teacher is the best way to get the answers you need. Ms. Clark is also the Team Leader and is a good point of contact for overall issues. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with any of us if needed.

    Thanks for stopping by!
