Superintendents Office
About the Superintendent
Dr. Gee was born and raised in West Texas and earned his bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University. He began his career in Hurse-Euless-Bedford ISD as a junior football coach and English teacher. HEB ISD is also where he met his wife, Stacey. From HEB, Dr. Gee and his family made multiple coaching stops across Texas before stopping at Northside ISD in San Antonio.
While in San Antonio, Dr. Gee obtained his master’s degree in educational leadership from Sul Ross University. After acquiring his principal certificate, he first served as an Assistant Principal in Hillsboro ISD before becoming principal of Comanche High School in Comanche ISD. Dr. Gee left Comanche to serve the students and community of Yorktown as the superintendent of Yorktown ISD for two years before coming to Kennedale ISD.
He is active in the Kennedale and Arlington communities, as a member of the Rotary Club, board member of the Kennedale Chamber of Commerce, serving on the Board for the Arlington-Mansfield YMCA, serving on Mayor Ross’s Education Coalition, and serving on the board for the Texas Association of Midsize Schools (TAMS.) Under his leadership Dr. Gee has had Kennedale join the REV partnership, a community of Tarrant County school districts working together to share data and resources, promote a unified message, and create regional change for Texas students.
In December of 2023 Dr. Gee graduated with his Doctorate of Education from Texas A&M University-Texarkana. His dissertation focused on using questioning in the classroom to stimulate critical thinking.
Dr. Gee believes strongly in the work done in public schools and works with the teachers, administration, and school board to create learning opportunities and environments that benefit every student that comes to Kennedale. Dr. Gee is a strong advocate for public education and works to promote both public education and Kennedale ISD locally and to state officials.
He and his wife Stacey are proud parents of two children, Caleigh and Colby, and grandparents to grandson, Weston. They feel extremely fortunate to call Kennedale their home and look forward to continuing to help serve the community.
