Public Notice: Destruction of Special Education Records

In accordance with Federal and State regulations, Kennedale ISD is giving notice of intent to destroy the special education records of students who graduated and/or ended services SEVEN YEARS PRIOR TO JUNE OF THE CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR (June 2024).

Seven-year-old special education files not requested by JUNE 1, 2024, will be DESTROYED in MID-JUNE 2024.

KISD has 10 business days to release records after the request has been submitted and/or the consent for records has been signed.

Parents or adult students who would like to have a copy of their records must submit a written request to:
