You must apply and pay online to renew your standard certificate.
- Log into your TEAL account to access your educator account.
- Once in TEAL, click View My Educator Certification Account to log into your Educator Certification Online System (ECOS) account.
- Once in ECOS, verify your profile information is correct. Then click Continue at the bottom of the page.
- From the Main Menu on the left, select Applications, then Renew a Standard Certificate.
- Follow the prompts to submit the online renewal application and pay the fee.
If you have not set up your TEAL and ECOS accounts, instructions are located on the ECOS for Educator page. If you need assistance with accessing your existing TEAL account, submit a help desk request to account access.

Grievance Resources
In an effort to hear and resolve employee concerns or complaints in a timely manner and at the lowest administrative level possible, the board has adopted an orderly grievance process.
Informal Process: Employees are encouraged to discuss their concerns or complaints with their supervisor, principal or other appropriate administrator who has the authority to address the concerns. Concerns should be expressed as soon as possible to allow early resolution at the lowest possible administrative level.
Formal Process: An employee may initiate the formal process by timely filing a written complaint form. Even after initiating the formal complaint process, employees are encouraged to see informal resolution of their concerns. An employee whose concerns are resolved may withdraw a formal complaint at any time.
Please contact Brandy King, Director of Human Resources, for further information and/or the Employee Grievance Form.
