Amy Newcomer is entering her 14th year in public education and has worked at Kennedale ISD for 11 years, where she served Kennedale Junior High School as an English Teacher/Coach (2009-2014) and Assistant Principal (2014-2016). She then served Kennedale High School as an Assistant Principal-Academic Dean (2017-19). This will be her second in her role as College, Career, Military Readiness & Career and Technology Education Administrator (CCMR/CTE).
Mrs. Newcomer earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tarleton State University in 2006 and a Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2014. Before coming to Kennedale ISD, Mrs. Newcomer worked as a teacher at both Whitehouse ISD and Carroll ISD.
