2022 EECU Community Foundation Scholarship
Deadline | January 31, 2022
- Earn up to $5,000 for four-year bachelor’s degree programs and up to $2,500 for two-year community college or vocational/technical school programs.
Requirements
- High school transcripts.
- 550-word essay addressing your personal goals and aspirations, how the scholarship will make a difference in your life, and how you plan to give back to the community.
Scholarships for Texas Athletic, Music, and Academic Participants
Deadline | January 28, 2022
- 15 total winners-5 each in music, academics, and athletics.
- $2,000 from H-E-B.
Requirements
- Minimum 3.3 GPA
- A Number of Community Service Hours completed.
- Community Service Verification Letters to document the number of hours submitted in the last 12 months.
- A Letter of Recommendation.
- A Short Essay (500 words or less) on the topic: “What does Community mean to you?”

Arlington Foundation for Excellence in Education | AFEE

The Arlington Foundation for Excellence in Education (AFEE) is pleased to announce the continuation of its scholarship program to support and encourage African-American students to pursue higher education. Nine scholarships ranging from $1000 to $3000 will be awarded to high school students graduating in the 2021-2022 school year.
- $3000 Dr. Barbara Odom-Wesley Spirit of Achievement Scholarship
  open to female African-American students who demonstrate building excellence in leadership.
- $3000 Honorable Elzie Odom Leader of Tomorrow Scholarship
  open to male African-American students who demonstrate building excellence in leadership.
- $1000 Florence Ellen McCall Hires Bartley Memorial Scholarship
  open to students planning to pursue a college degree in business, particularly with an emphasis on finance or accounting.
- $1000 Mel Brown McGinnis Literary Arts Scholarship
  open to students who aspire to pursue a college degree in literary arts (English Literature, poetry, fiction, journalism, communications, speech, drama, or creative writing).
- $1000 Madelyn Opal McDowell Butler Servant Leader Scholarship
  open to African-American students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, academic, and volunteerism in the community.
- $1000 Tamika W Tutt Engineering Scholarship
  open to African-American high school seniors interested in the field of engineering.
- $1000 The Clayton Law Scholarship
  awarded to a student who plans to study a criminal justice-related field at a historically black college or university.
- $1000 Girl2Girl Scholarship
  for a graduating female high school senior who is a pregnant teen or teen mother
- $1000 Beyond Beauty Scholarship
  open to graduating high school seniors desiring to become experts in the art and science of improving and beautifying the hair, skin, and nails, by enrolling in Cosmetology or Barber School licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
