What are the houses and what do they represent?
Our campus has eight houses. Each house has a color, country, character trait, and name. We wanted to find a way for our students to bring their culture into our school and share it with others. Each country represents different part of our student population. Each character trait represents one of the eight core character traits adopted by our district. The house names are the character trait translated into the language of that country. Students are sorted into their house when they start at Delaney, and stay in their house through James A. Arthur Intermediate.

Each house has a house leader who is also a teacher on the campus. The house leader works with the other teachers and staff members in their house to plan house huddles and support their house students. The house leaders meet regularly with the school counselor to create events and activities to address good character during house huddles and school events.
