BS in Curriculum & Instruction G.T. Certified AP Certified Math Department Chair NJHS Sponsor Yearbook Photographer
Howdy! Welcome to my class! My name is Tammy Bergere, one of the three 8th grade math teachers, and I am the only teacher in the building to teach Algebra 1 for High School credit. It is my pleasure to be the department chair for the infamous KJHS Mathematics department. This will be my 15th year in Education and my 12th year at Kennedale Junior High School. My first 3 years were at Paschal High School teaching Algebra 1 in the early 90's. I became a stay-at-home mother for thirteen years before returning to the classroom.
I am a very proud graduate of Texas A&M University (whoop!) with a bachelors degree in Curriculum & Instruction in Mathematics and Computer Science. My husband is also a graduate of Texas A&M University (whoop!) and works at the University of Texas at Arlington. I have two grown children. My son is currently enrolled at University of Texas at Arlington studying Computer Science. My daughter is enrolled at Texas A&M University (whoop!) studying Dance & Psychology.
This will be my first year to sponsor (with Mrs. Hamilton) the KJHS chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. I look forward to creating wonderful memories with this excellent group of members this year.
You may see me at some of the sports events at our school. I will be the short red-head with the big camera. Photography is my hobby and I love taking action sports photos. I will make all my photos available for students/parents to download for their use and pleasure.
I was honored to be nominated and featured in Fort Worth Magazine's Top Teachers 2017.
I hope students have an excellent and fun year in Math. Students should be challenged and engaged. I am very approachable for both students and parents. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me. Email is my preferred method of communication.
