CONGRATULATIONS to the Spring 2010 KJHS HONORS BAND!
In the 2010 Association of Texas Small School Bands (ATSSB) Outstanding Performance Series (OPS) Competition, all three of our contest tunes advanced to the Area Competition, (where each tune was judged individually). The recording of "Honor Roll March" has been selected to advance to the State Competition. This is the competition that the KJHS Band's march was placed 7th out of 14 for 2009. The state adjudication for this competition took place on July 25th in San Antonio at the Texas Bandmasters Association Convention. The March was ranked 6th in the State of Texas!
They were named the "OUTSTANDING BAND" at the Metrofest Band contest
at Argyle HS on April 10th. In addition, they received a First Division Rating in both
Stage and Sightreading Performance. Its been a great year!!!
